There is plenty to do and see around the Macduff area, you may wish to visit the Sea Life Aquarium or Duff House both within walking distance, or close by other activties such as Bird Watching, golfing, shooting or salmon fishing in the river Deveron.
During the summer months Macduff hosts the annual yacht race to Stavanger in Norway, with plenty of stalls and activities around the harbour during the week of the race. There is also the popular Portsoy Boat festival just a short way up the coast.
We also operate Puffin Cruises that run daily wildlife trips up to Gamrie Bay where the small fishing villages of Gardenstown and Crovie are situated before moving on to the bird colonies at Troupe Head, during the summer months this is nesting for numerous sea birds such as Gannets, Puffins, Kittiwakes, Guillemots, Cormorants and many more. During the trip there is a good chance of seeing the Bottlenose Dolphins that populate the Moray Firth as well as Minke Whales, Porpoise, Common and Grey Seals.

Positioned opposite the harbour, there is never a dull moment. From the comfort of the lounge you can watch the boats coming and going and the men from the local boat yard going about their work.
The Flats are available for nightly or weekly lets. The fully furnished flats are presented with all the comforts of home to provide a more pleasant ambiance than the usual hotel room.
The kitchen includes all that is required to prepare your own meal, or for those with less time, you may prefer to have your meal delivered. There is an electric hob with oven, microwave, fridge, full set of pots, four place setting dinner set, cutlery, full range of cooking utensils and a kettle. Condiments are provided along with coffee, tea and sugar.
The luxury bathroom contains a bath with shower. Soap and shampoo are provided. Fresh towels are supplied. There is also a retractable clothes line for those who wish to take advantage of the washing machine and iron.
The large sofa in the lounge also opens up into a very comfortable double bed, opposite is a 24” wall mounted colour TV with Freeview so ideal for watching the late night films.
Sleeps up to 4 people
The bedroom has two single beds, ensuring a comfortable sleep after a long day. Heating is provided by electric radiators in all rooms complete with timers, offering immediate or planned warmth. A wardrobe and dressing table with draws provide ample storage for those staying more than one night. The bedroom is completed by a wall mounted 19” colour TV With Freeveiw. A hair dryer radio alarm clock, iron and ironing board are also provided.
